2019 Headliners (2020 TBA)

David Regal

DAVID REGAL has written and designed magic seen by millions of people around the world. For the past 5 years he has been a writer/producer of TV’s The Carbonaro Effect, where he created and collaborated on literally hundreds of original effects.  He is responsible for some of the best-selling magic tricks and magic books of his generation.
David performed thousands of live shows as a member of the New York comedy group Chicago City Limits, then moved to Los Angeles where he became a frequent performer at The Magic Castle. He was twice named Lecturer of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts, and is the recipient of the Academy’s Creative Fellowship.

He is the author of Approaching Magic [2008], Constant Fooling Volumes 1 & 2 [2002], Close-up & Personal [1999], and is the subject of Star Quality – The Magic of David Regal [1987] by Harry Lorayne. A new book of magic, in the works for ten years, will be released later in 2019.

Jonathan Levit

Jonathan Levit has appeared on "MASTERS OF ILLUSION", and has been seen on the covers of MAGIC MAGAZINE and GENII MAGAZINE. He continues to be a regular performer at the famed MAGIC CASTLE in Hollywood. You may also remember him as the host and a judge of the celebrity reality magic series, “CELEBRACADABRA”.

Jonathan has also worked as an actor, with his career beginning with a starring role as a con-artist magician in one of the most highly acclaimed episodes of “THE X-FILES”, playing opposite Ricky Jay.

His work as a magic consultant is prolific, with credits including coaching Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, & Ayla Fisher in "NOW YOU SEE ME"; Steve Carell, Alan Arkin, & Olivia Wilde in "THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE"; and goes all the way back to coaching David Duchovny on "THE X-FILES".

Teller, from Penn & Teller says it best: "Jonathan is funny, elegant, and disturbingly smart. Like something cuddly with really sharp teeth.

Robert Ramirez

Robert Ramirez was, for many, one of the highlights of this year's Magic Live in Las Vegas. His original close up magic is extremely well thought out, and his open & accessible style makes him extremely likeable. He has spent the last year traveling to the biggest magic conventions in the world, both lecturing and performing his unique blend of theater and magic.

You may have seen him perform on Penn and Teller’s FOOL US, season 3. A regular at the Magic Castle, he has the distinction of being the only performer ever to perform in all 5 showrooms within a year. As far as awards, he recently won 1st place in Close Up at TOAM '17, 2nd place at PCAM ’17, and 2nd place at the Strolling Olympics '18 at the Magic Castle.

His training in theater has helped him create unique magic pieces, routines, and shows. We were all happy to have witnessed and been amazed by the one-of-a-kind magic of Robert Ramirez.

Tom Burgoon

Comic Magician Tom Burgoon has wowed and impressed audiences coast to coast, both on land and sea. He has taken his one-of-a-kind-show across the country and has become one of the most in-demand performers today.

He's been a featured performer on numerous episodes of the Masters of Illusion television series, and is a regular performer at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. He has brought his unique brand of comedy to vast audiences from cruise lines to corporate clients such as 3M, Coca Cola and NASA; as well as to comedy clubs and stage events in Las Vegas, Reno and L.A. In addition, he has twice been selected to perform for US Presidents in Washington DC!

Magic Magazine named him as one of the top 35 comic magicians in the world.

Louis Pearl

A great addition to our Friday evening show was acclaimed bubble man Louis Pearl! Louis is one of the world’s leading "bubble-ologists".  His spring schedule has him touring all throughout Europe, but we happened to catch him in the area during our event!

He began in 1980 by making, demonstrating, and selling a toy called the Bubble Trumpet on a street corner in Berkeley, CA. Eventually his toy company had 147 products with int'l distribution, but Louis found that he preferred playing with the toys over selling them, so he sold Tangent Toys in 2002. Since then he has been touring the world, performing hundreds of shows each year.

We've seen a ton of great live magic here since the first PMJ in 2009!

Much appreciation to all our attendees for making this a great ongoing event!

Please help spread the word because it's our attendance allows us to maintain these high standards!
